SENSITIZATION PROGRAM ON CHILD PROTECTION IN EMERCENCY ON THE 17TH OCTOBER, 2024

The sensitization program on “Child Protection in Emergency” was conducted in three schools, namely, Methodist Cluster of School, R/C Basic school- Duayaw Nkwanta and R/C Basic School -Susuanho , aimed at raising awareness about safeguarding children’s rights during emergencies.

The program, aligned with the department’s core value of promoting and protecting children’s welfare, involved collaboration with a resource person from the fire service. Staff and teachers played an essential role in supporting the initiative, ensuring that students understood the importance of child protection in crisis situations. The program emphasized the role of educators, parents, and emergency responders in creating a safe environment for children during emergencies
