On 2nd and 3rd December, 2025, sod-cutting ceremonies were held for the commencement of new educational infrastructure projects in selected schools within the Tano North Municipality. The beneficiary schools and projects are as follows:
- Bomaa Presby JHS – Construction of a well-furnished three-unit classroom block with an additional toilet facility.
- Bomaa Islamic JHS – Construction of a well-furnished three-unit classroom block with an additional toilet facility.
- Krofofrom Basic School – Construction of a well-furnished three-unit classroom block with an additional toilet facility.
- Kootwe KG – Construction of a well-furnished, ultra-modern two-unit classroom block with an additional toilet facility.
The ceremonies were attended by the Municipal Director of Education for Tano North, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Tano North Municipal Assembly, traditional authorities (Nananom) of the beneficiary communities, the Municipal Engineer, building contractors, staff of the Tano North Municipal Education Directorate and the Municipal Assembly, headteachers, clergy, teachers, learners, the media, and community members.
In his address, the Municipal Chief Executive expressed appreciation to the traditional authorities for their continuous support and thanked the President for awarding these projects to the Tano North Municipality. He further assured stakeholders that the contractors would be closely monitored to ensure the completion of all projects within the stipulated six-month timeline.
The Municipal Director of Education also expressed gratitude to the President, the Municipal Chief Executive, traditional authorities, and all education stakeholders for their support, and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education development in the Tano North Municipality
