On Monday, 19th January 2026, the Municipal Director of Education for Tano North, accompanied by the SHEP Coordinator and other officials, held an engagement meeting with School Feeding Caterers from the Adrobaa and Terchire Educational Circuits within the Directorate.





They explained that the engagement covered several critical issues, including the rationale and objectives behind the introduction of the School Feeding Programme, the importance of providing food of adequate quality and quantity to learners or pupils, and the need to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic cooking environments. They added that proper dressing and personal hygiene during food preparation, including the use of appropriate protective clothing, were emphasized, along with the requirement for all caterers to possess valid health cards.
They further stated that effective collaboration among caterers, school leadership, and the Education Directorate was necessary for the smooth implementation of the programme. The Directorate noted that the meeting was intended to strengthen adherence to established standards and enhance the overall effectiveness of the School Feeding Programme within the municipality
