On behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and the entire Tano North Municipal Assembly represented by Honourable Pius Opoku the Municipal Chief Executive, wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the company’s generous donation of a brand-new waste management truck.
The Municipal Chief Executive explained that the significant contribution to their sanitation efforts was a powerful testament to Newmont Ghana Ltd’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and the well-being of the community. He added that the addition of the vehicle would immensely boost their capacity to manage waste efficiently and support their mission of achieving a cleaner Ghana and a healthier environment for all residents in Tano North.
He further noted that the company’s support was instrumental in helping them turn their ambitious goals into reality and that it directly impacted the daily lives of the people they served. In addition, the MCE emphasized that the gesture reinforced the importance of collective action in achieving sustainable development goals in Ghana.
He concluded by saying that they were honored to count Newmont Ghana Ltd among their key partners in development and looked forward to sharing updates on the positive difference the donation would make in their waste management operations.
